People Criticizing Your Decisions? Quit Broadcasting Your Business!!!
In Genesis 37:4-8, Joseph revealed to his family about his dream of being a ruler. However, when his brothers hear the dream, they were jealous and criticized it. They were already jealous of the preferential treatment Joseph was given. In fact, they were so jealous that they tried to sabotage his dream by selling him into slavery. Though God worked it out in the end, Joseph could’ve avoided a lot of trouble if he kept his business to himself.
Don’t expect people to be happy for you when you share your God given visions. In fact, people will often criticize your vision and even try to put a stop to your goals. Jealousy causes people to do cruel things, especially when those people lack ambition to do better in life. Even people closest to you may be your biggest critics if they know they can’t follow you into your destiny. Sharing your vision with other people is very risky. When you share your visions with the wrong people, they become a distraction to your destiny.
When God gives you a vision for your future, it is in your best interest to not disclose it with anyone initially. Allow God to help you choose to whom you should reveal your vision in due time. Having the wrong people knowing your vision will cause them to plant seeds of doubt in your mind; however, having the right people knowing your vision will allow them to plant seeds of faith. When in doubt as to whether you should reveal your vision to a person, err on the side of caution and keep the vision to yourself.
